Outside the House

The outside of the house is devoid of any landscaping. There is rubble lying around and one day I will get around to it. there is still a lot of construction to be done. The front door as described in the previous post is an iron grill. A wooden door will be installed here. All the grills are rusting and have to be rust proofed. You can see the "Drishti Bombey" and right through to the West Side grill.

Just outside the front door is the well and the pump enclosure. Throughout the day the locals come to the well to draw water from it.
What you see above is the septic tank. It is fairly large and I don't expect it would need maintenance for a number of years. The stairway to the upper floor will be to the top of the arch, from either side and then upwards from there on.
This is the sea facing side of the house and you can see the Water Tank and the Solar Water Heater on top. When the upper floor is built out, it will be an undertaking to raise these two items up one level. The window on the left is for the sea facing guest room. The window on the right is the master bedroom. Currently, there is no piping from the Pump to the water tank. And so I use a flex pipe to fill the tank once every few days. Everytime the tank has to be filled, I pull the flex pipe up using a ladder and attach it to the inlet of the tank.

This is a picture of the plumbing into the guest bathroom. The spout you see coming out is for the grey water which flows into the sand pit. I want that creeper or some other one to cover this wall.

And finally this is the inside of the local Post Office that is manned by a Post Woman. There is a mail carrier who makes two trips to the post office from and to the town which is a twenty minute walk from here.
